The Canadian Derivatives Clearing Service (CDCS), which CDCC operates, clears all derivatives trades on the Montréal Exchange, as well as certain fixed-income securities, repurchase agreements, and over-the-counter equity derivatives. The Bank of Canada designated CDCS as a systemically important financial market infrastructure in 2012.
In addition to the Bank of Canada's oversight, CDCC is recognized and regulated by the AMF in Québec and the Ontario Securities Commission.
