The Securities and Futures Act 2001 defines the "Authority" as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), established under the Monetary Authority of Singapore Act 1970 (section 2). The Act has sections on the licensing of trade repositories, the approval and recognition of clearing houses, and the regulations on the reporting, clearing, and trading of derivatives contracts, with titles in the form "Power of Authority to ...".
The sections on regulations are for the reporting (section 129), clearing (section 129G), and trading (section 129N) of derivatives contracts. The licensing of trade repositories appears in the title of section 46E, and the approval and recognition of clearing houses in the title of section 51. This entry covers the section titles and the section 2 definition. It does not cover the text of the sections or MAS publications.
